CLC Twiddlebugs

Twiddlebug Room

15 months to 24 months

Our 15–24 month preschool program provides a warm, nurturing environment where toddlers can learn, explore, and grow at their own pace. Through play-based, hands-on experiences, children are encouraged to build independence, curiosity, communication skills, and confidence while having fun.

Children explore early language and literacy through songs, stories, rhymes, picture books, and conversations. They begin developing early math and cognitive skills by learning colors, shapes, numbers, matching, sorting, and simple concepts like big and little. Sensory play, art, music, and movement give toddlers opportunities to explore new textures, sounds, and creative experiences.

A big part of our program focuses on social-emotional development and independence. Children practice sharing, taking turns, expressing their feelings, following simple directions, and building relationships with teachers and classmates. We also encourage age-appropriate self-help skills, such as cleaning up toys, feeding themselves, washing hands, and making simple choices. The children also begin the development of Cognitive / Language skills. They are learning to talk, respond to simple directions and put words together.

Through plenty of movement and active play, toddlers strengthen their fine and gross motor skills while developing coordination and confidence. Most importantly, we create a loving environment where every child feels safe, supported, celebrated, and excited to discover something new each day!

St Henry Creative Learning Center provides a caring, nurturing community where each child and family is encouraged to grow cognitively, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
